Privacy Policy
How ClaimAnchor collects, uses, shares, protects, retains, and deletes information for the waitlist, website, and application.
1. Who we are
ClaimAnchor ("ClaimAnchor," "we," "us," or "our") provides software tools that help U.S. military veterans organize evidence, understand the VA disability claim process, and prepare review-ready drafts.
Important: ClaimAnchor is not a law firm, is not a VA-accredited representative, agent, or attorney, and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs or any government agency. ClaimAnchor does not provide legal, medical, or claims advice and does not guarantee any claim outcome or disability rating.
2. Scope
This policy covers our marketing and waitlist website (getclaimanchor.com (http://getclaimanchor.com)) today, and the ClaimAnchor application at and after launch.
3. Information we collect
Information you provide: name, email, and waitlist/account details; information you choose to enter or upload to organize a claim, which may include health and medical information (e.g., diagnoses, treatment records, service history).
Payment information: processed by our payment processor, Stripe; we do not store full payment card numbers.
Usage and device data: log data, device/browser type, IP address, and interactions with the service, collected via standard analytics.
Social platform data: if you choose to engage with our content or connect an account on third-party platforms (e.g., TikTok, Meta/Facebook/Instagram, LinkedIn, X, YouTube), we may receive limited information those platforms make available, subject to your settings and their policies. We request only what is needed to operate our presence on those platforms.
4. Sensitive information
Some information you choose to provide is sensitive — including health, mental-health, and military service information (which may relate to conditions such as PTSD or military sexual trauma). We apply heightened safeguards to this information and process it only to provide the service you request.
ClaimAnchor is not a HIPAA-covered entity or business associate, and HIPAA does not govern the information you provide to us. We nonetheless treat health-related information as protected and comply with applicable consumer-health and state privacy laws (including, for residents of those states, laws such as the Washington My Health My Data Act).
If you are in crisis, help is available 24/7: call 988 and press 1, or text 838255.
5. How we use information
To provide and improve the service; to help you organize evidence and prepare drafts; to process payments; to communicate with you; to maintain security and prevent abuse; and to comply with law. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising or targeted advertising.
6. Artificial intelligence disclosure
ClaimAnchor uses AI to help organize information and generate draft materials. AI processing is performed using third-party AI model providers (accessed through OpenRouter). AI output can contain errors and is not legal, medical, or claims advice. You are responsible for reviewing all materials, and we encourage you to verify important information and consult an accredited representative or attorney where appropriate.
7. How we share information
We share information only with: service providers who process data on our behalf under contract — currently Vercel (hosting), Stripe (payments), Clerk (account authentication), and OpenRouter (AI model routing); third-party platforms you choose to connect; and as required by law or to protect rights and safety. We do not sell personal information.
8. Data retention
We keep information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations, then delete or de-identify it. You may request deletion at any time (see /legal/data-deletion).
9. Your rights
Depending on your state of residence, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your information, and to appeal a decision. Residents of states with comprehensive privacy laws — including California, Texas, Virginia, Colorado, and others — have specific rights under those laws. To exercise any right, contact us at support@getclaimanchor.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
10. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, including encryption of data in transit and at rest. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Children
ClaimAnchor is intended for adults 18 and older and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
12. Changes
We may update this policy and will post the new effective date. Material changes will be communicated as required by law.
