ClaimAnchor Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy
This is a separate notice about health-related information, in addition to our main Privacy Policy. It explains how we handle "consumer health data" under Washington's My Health My Data Act and similar state laws.
1. What this covers.
Some of what you enter or upload can relate to your health — for example, the conditions, symptoms, treatment, or diagnoses you describe for your VA claim. Laws like Washington's My Health My Data Act treat this as "consumer health data." This notice explains how we handle it.
2. What we collect, and why.
We collect the health-related information you choose to enter or upload so we can do the one thing you're asking ClaimAnchor to do: help you organize and prepare your VA disability claim. We collect it with your consent, or when it is needed to provide a feature you asked for. You choose what to enter.
3. Where it comes from.
From you — what you type, answer, or upload. We do not buy your health data from anyone.
4. How we use it.
To run the features you use (organizing your claim, drafting statements, and — where enabled — analyzing your documents), to support you, and to keep the service secure. When our AI features process your text, we send only the minimum needed and remove identifiers first, using no-retention settings.
5. Who we share it with.
We share health-related information only with the service providers who help us run ClaimAnchor, and only so they can provide their service to us:
Hosting, database, and secure file storage
Sign-in and account security (Clerk)
AI routing (OpenRouter), with identifiers removed and no-retention settings
We do not have any parent companies or affiliates that receive your health data. We do not share your health data for advertising, and we do not share it for unrelated purposes.
6. We do not sell your health data.
We do not sell consumer health data, and we will not sell it unless you sign a separate authorization allowing it — which we do not ask you to do.
7. Your rights.
You can ask us to:
See the health data we have about you — including a list of anyone we have shared it with, and how to contact them.
Delete your health data.
Withdraw your consent to our collecting or sharing it going forward.
We will not treat you differently for asking. To make a request, email privacy@getclaimanchor.com or use the controls in your account. We will verify your request and respond within 45 days. If we say no, you can appeal, and we will explain our decision in writing; if we still say no, we will tell you how to contact the Washington Attorney General.
8. Changes.
If we change this notice, we will post the new effective date here.
9. Contact.
